Soothingly Sensitive Aloe & Buttermilk Body Lotion 3.5 5 13 13
Satisfying lotion, glad I went ahead + bought it. I had heard someone talking about having put some Burt's Bees buttermilk lotion on her baby, and thought, "ooh, a BUTTERMILK lotion." I don't generally spend a whole lot of money on lotions, and the Burt's Bees products that I just happen to glance at while waiting in line at the store seemed to cost a bit more than I'm interested in paying, so I haven't really explored many of their products until now. But, after having my interest piqued by a mention of a buttermilk lotion by Burt's Bees, I was sort of on the lookout for that lotion, just to see what it was like. So when the health food store I go to had a front and center display advertising a BIG SALE on Burt's Bees products, I saw my chance and went looking for some Burt's Bees Buttermilk lotion! Needless to say, I found what I was looking for and have certainly been enjoying it ever since. With a nod to those who've had bad reactions to the smell, I have to say that I had a similar response after trying out several different of the body creams in the store (the tester tubes the store provides) by Burt's Bees, incl. the Aloe/Buttermilk one. I initially LOVED the Aloe/Buttermilk one, and the Milk/Honey one, and... So, I decided to get an Aloe/Buttermilk one, but then as I continued with my shopping the smell seemed to become gross, and then I started to get a bit of a headache (which I sometimes do with certain scents anyway), and decided that maybe I didn't want to buy it after all. So I didn't...THAT trip. After I got home and everything subsided--the smell and headache--I noticed my skin was feeling so soft and a smell lingered that actually wasn't so bad. The only thing I can come up with as an explanation is that maybe the combination of all those different lotions on at the same time wasn't such a great idea, because I haven't had a problem with either of those since. In any case, on my next shopping trip I felt comfortable buying a tube and have since stocked up on a couple different types. I love how soft and silky smooth it makes my skin feel and how relaxed an effect it has on my mood. I'm planning to sample a few more products--the avocado pre-shampoo sounds good!--soon, after such a good experience with my first tries. I'm hooked. Happily. February 23, 2014
Will not be buying again. I bought this after my heat rash wouldn't heal. It healed the rash in two days and my skin felt great. I even recommended it to other people. But the smell of the lotion was very, very strange. A few weeks later the smell was so unbelievably bad it gave me a headache and made me feel sick. The bottle doesn't seem old and I haven't had it for more than a few months. I have no idea why it smells so terrible but I will not be buying nor recommending it again. September 20, 2013
Amazing Healer I first found Burt's products in 95 or 96 when I was working at the Science and Nature Store in the mall in Moline, IL. Sadly that store is closed, but Burt's is still amazing. On the 4th of July this year I went for a nice long ride on my Motorcycle and got a nasty sun burn. My local walmart did not have the aftersun lotion so I tried this one. This sunburn was so bad I was blistering by midmorning on the 5th. This evening the 6th my blisters are nearly all gone the sunburn does not hurt at all, and my German/Irish skin is nearly back to normal. I will always trust Burt's Bees Wax products with my family's skin! July 6, 2013
Great Product ! I have to disagree with many of these reviews .This product smells just fine, reminds me of Baby Powder and works as a fine skin moisturizer. Just excellent! June 7, 2013

Spread generously. Especially on knees and elbows where dry skin loves to hide.
