Soothingly Sensitive Aloe & Buttermilk Body Lotion 3.5 5 15 15
Grateful Burt's Bees Fan Several years ago I was diagnosed with sever alergies to formaldahyde and Q-15 found in far too many products. That's when I became a Burts Bee customer and began using Soothingly Sensitive Aloe & Buttermilk Body Lotion. I love the cool, refreshing and soothing feel for this lotion. I put it on afeter my shower and it feels so good and my skin is break-out free and so very soft and hydrated. I love that I can get lotions and much more without fear of breaking out from chemicals. I recommend Burt's to friends and co-workers and family. A loyal and grateful fan, Lori B September 7, 2014
Could be better I got this because I like buttermilk products, and I have pretty sensitive skin. However, I don't love this one. The aloe gives it a scent that I'm not that fond of - comes across a little bit too strong for my personal tastes. And the lotion doesn't always seem to absorb well for me. I think it could be improved with a little fresher scent. However, if you like the smell of aloe, you might like this! August 25, 2014
Satisfying lotion, glad I went ahead + bought it. I had heard someone talking about having put some Burt's Bees buttermilk lotion on her baby, and thought, "ooh, a BUTTERMILK lotion." I don't generally spend a whole lot of money on lotions, and the Burt's Bees products that I just happen to glance at while waiting in line at the store seemed to cost a bit more than I'm interested in paying, so I haven't really explored many of their products until now. But, after having my interest piqued by a mention of a buttermilk lotion by Burt's Bees, I was sort of on the lookout for that lotion, just to see what it was like. So when the health food store I go to had a front and center display advertising a BIG SALE on Burt's Bees products, I saw my chance and went looking for some Burt's Bees Buttermilk lotion! Needless to say, I found what I was looking for and have certainly been enjoying it ever since. With a nod to those who've had bad reactions to the smell, I have to say that I had a similar response after trying out several different of the body creams in the store (the tester tubes the store provides) by Burt's Bees, incl. the Aloe/Buttermilk one. I initially LOVED the Aloe/Buttermilk one, and the Milk/Honey one, and... So, I decided to get an Aloe/Buttermilk one, but then as I continued with my shopping the smell seemed to become gross, and then I started to get a bit of a headache (which I sometimes do with certain scents anyway), and decided that maybe I didn't want to buy it after all. So I didn't...THAT trip. After I got home and everything subsided--the smell and headache--I noticed my skin was feeling so soft and a smell lingered that actually wasn't so bad. The only thing I can come up with as an explanation is that maybe the combination of all those different lotions on at the same time wasn't such a great idea, because I haven't had a problem with either of those since. In any case, on my next shopping trip I felt comfortable buying a tube and have since stocked up on a couple different types. I love how soft and silky smooth it makes my skin feel and how relaxed an effect it has on my mood. I'm planning to sample a few more products--the avocado pre-shampoo sounds good!--soon, after such a good experience with my first tries. I'm hooked. Happily. February 23, 2014
Will not be buying again. I bought this after my heat rash wouldn't heal. It healed the rash in two days and my skin felt great. I even recommended it to other people. But the smell of the lotion was very, very strange. A few weeks later the smell was so unbelievably bad it gave me a headache and made me feel sick. The bottle doesn't seem old and I haven't had it for more than a few months. I have no idea why it smells so terrible but I will not be buying nor recommending it again. September 20, 2013
