Acting Locally, Naturally
We believe that in order to make the world a nicer place to live, we need to start at home. That's why we support, and are actively involved in, several community initiatives right here in our hometown of Durham, North Carolina.
Our efforts range from social responsibility to sustainability to overall well-being and the list is growing.
Urban Gardening
Burt’s Bees teamed up with NEEM (Natural Environmental Ecological Management) to bring some green to Durham, North Carolina. For our Culture Day, we all took time to help plan community gardens.
Planet Earth Celebration, Respect Your Mother
We are proud to be a presenting sponsor of the Annual Planet Earth Celebration in Raleigh, N.C. This local Earth Day event is designed to bring together organizations and individuals dedicated to creating sustainable innovations.
Be Good to Bees
Why do we love bees? Because Burt’s Bees would just be Burt’s without the honeybees! Bees have always held a special place in our hearts. After all, Burt himself was a beekeeper, and the very first Burt's Bees products were made with beeswax from his hives.
Building Green Homes
We work closely with Habitat for Humanity of North Carolina in by building homes and a playground in first affordable green housing community in the state.
Kashi REAL Tour
In 2011, Burt’s Bees partnered with Kashi to help learn how to make more natural choices that add up to real, positive change. The REAL (Renew Eating And Living) Tour offered ways to progress your own wellbeing as well as the health of the planet.
