Works! September 05, 2009
I often garden without wearing gloves - and more often than not, run into poison ivy. If I head inside and wash my hands/finger nails/ring (inside/outside), arms - with Poison Ivy Soap within 20 minutes of my exposure (or, shower using the soap if I think I've touched multiple parts of my body), I usually get away with one or two small dots. I've also used the soap to wash the cat's leash, my shoelaces, and other items that I may have touched after my exposure. There have been times that I've delayed the washing, or haven't realized I've met with poison ivy, and I'm doomed to several weeks of intense misery (sometimes requiring a trip to the Dr.!). I stock up on the soap and keep it in the kitchen, as well as in each bathroom.

nip it in the bud September 04, 2009
I am ultra-sensitive to poison ivy and have had many bad cases. Once you've already gotten a bad rash, this soap isn't going to make it disappear. Not even corticosteroids make it immediately disappear if it's severe. But I like to use it at the very first sign of an itch. If I even suspect I've been near the plant, I immediately go take a shower and scrub down with this soap. I don't have any hard evidence, but I really believe it helps a lot. I have one suggestion for the makers. Since this is the type of product that is used only once in a while (rather than every day), it would be nice if it came packaged some way where it could be resealed. Once you get it wet you don't want to wrap it back up in the paper. But if you leave the soap out to dry, somebody is going to unknowingly use it for regular hand-washing and waste your precious poison ivy soap!

best poison ivy cure ever September 02, 2009
I've tried all the poison ivy products out there and this is the best. I give it as a gift to my friends who love to hike. And my friend's cat loves it like catnip.
