Not only has this product kept the bugs at bay, when I do not use it and get bit, I apply it right away and it relieves the itching and reduces the welt. I gave a bottle to a friend who is highly reactive to bug bites and she couldn't believe how well it kept the bugs away.

Love It! July 26, 2012
Even wearing pants and long sleeves out in the woods, I was getting bit on my ankles and around my waits. I started using this, and Viola! No more bites! More effective against gnats and mosquitos than ticks, but it does help against them too.

This product protects poorly against bees--and even seems to attract them! **Not sure how this product works against other pests.

This kills bugs that get in your house! June 09, 2012
I bought this to use as a spider repellent in my apartment, because I heard that essential oils are good for that, and I live near woods and have lots of spiders on my outdoor stairwell because of the security light (which attracts other bugs that I don't want in my house). I can't confirm with certainty that this repels all insects immediately, but I have noticed fewer live bugs inside my apartment than before I started using it. But I have definitely been noticing the dead bugs, especially around the areas where I spread the oil (my windows and the edges of my walls). I've sprayed the oil on live spiders that have gotten in the apartment, and it does slow them down but doesn't immediately kill them. But apparently the bugs that come into contact with it eventually die. I just now found one of the house centipedes that keep getting into my closet somehow, and it was curled up dead on my floor (and it's been at least two or three weeks since I last sprayed any oil in there). I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to bug-proof their home without all the expensive chemicals. I spray it on an old washcloth and wipe it around the edges of my windows and doors. Just get some airflow going after you apply it, because the oils smell pretty strong. And be careful washing anything it gets on: I've noticed oil stains on some of my shirts, which probably went through the washer after the oily cloth.
