Why are the toothpastes being discontinued?

We are discontinuing our line of toothpastes based on a combination of ingredient supply challenges and limited consumer demand. This choice hasn’t been easy for us, as we know many people have come to rely on this product.

Can I still purchase remaining toothpastes? And where?

Yes, you can still purchase the toothpastes in the Burt’s Bees online outlet or at your local Whole Foods Market while supplies last. We expect the supply of our line of toothpastes to dwindle over the next 2-3 months.

Will there be a new line of Toothpastes launched?

At this time, we are not planning on reformulating our line of toothpastes or introducing any new dental care products.

Good paste, but SUCH a mess!! January 23, 2011
I very much like this toothpaste, but whoever designed the packaging should consider a change of career. It stands upright, yet the paste then oozes out the bottom and gets stuck all over the cap such that when you open it, a string forms that will drip all over if you're not careful. Burt's, please keep making this toothpaste, but maybe use a firmer plastic for the tube or just use an old-fashioned tube that gets stored horizontally!

Awesome toothpaste!! January 11, 2011
The Burt's Bees toothpaste provides exceptional cleaning and whitening without overwhelming flavor or aftertaste. I've used it for a month and it provides more whitening power than the whitening strips sold. The mild flavor is great, too!

Great Taste January 09, 2011
Recently I developed an allergy/sensitivity to SLS. The toothpast I had been using for a long time started making my lips, tongue, gums and throat go tingly numb. My teeth felt like they were going to fall out. I switched to another paste that did not have SLS. My mouth still felt funny and I had a loss of feeling in my tongue for about 2 months. Something had to change. I bought this paste and tried it. The taste was great. It did not suds up a whole lot but there was still plenty of suds. The paste is a little thick, so I put a little less on my brush. I did notice that storing it standing on the cap made some gooeys in the cap. I will try storing it on its side to see if that helps. The best thing is...........after only 3 days of use, the feeling is coming back to my tongue, my gums don't hurt and my teeth are starting to feel like they want to stay in my head! I have found my toothpaste! Yes, it is a little more expensive than the regular stuff but with the benefits I have experienced, I don't care!

Multicare Toothpaste January 06, 2011
I wish it came out of the tube easier, it is very hard paste. Other than that, it is a good cleaning paste.
