Why are the toothpastes being discontinued?

We are discontinuing our line of toothpastes based on a combination of ingredient supply challenges and limited consumer demand. This choice hasn’t been easy for us, as we know many people have come to rely on this product.

Can I still purchase remaining toothpastes? And where?

Yes, you can still purchase the toothpastes in the Burt’s Bees online outlet or at your local Whole Foods Market while supplies last. We expect the supply of our line of toothpastes to dwindle over the next 2-3 months.

Will there be a new line of Toothpastes launched?

At this time, we are not planning on reformulating our line of toothpastes or introducing any new dental care products.

Good toothpaste, but very gooey December 26, 2010
This toothpaste tastes great, seems to do a very good job with cleaning (and no nasty chemicals, of course), but the consistency is very gooey and sticky. I discovered in short order that if I store it sitting upright on the cap, that when I open it, the toothpaste is a sticky mess that forms a strand between the part of the cap that flips open and the end of the tube. I am more than willing to have that tradeoff to use toothpaste with no chemicals, however. (Once you start brushing, there is no problem.) I also give it high marks for being much better than Tom's of Maine. I tried that toothpaste several months ago; and after a week, I had tooth sensitivity that I never experienced before. Burt's Bees cleans well, with no adverse effects.

Great toothpaste! December 19, 2010
I have one son that likes the orange and the other enjoys this one. The flavor is not overpowering and is safe if they swallow some.

Best natural toothpaste that I've tried. December 17, 2010
It took a little while to get used to this toothpaste, but I like it now. I wish it had a little more of a minty after feeling, but my teeth do always feel nice and clean after use.

best dental check up ever December 17, 2010
Although the tooth paste does not leave a tingly minty feel in my mouth. My gums and teeth got the best checkup in years. And, after all, the health of my mouth is the most important. TRY IT!
