Why are the toothpastes being discontinued?

We are discontinuing our line of toothpastes based on a combination of ingredient supply challenges and limited consumer demand. This choice hasn’t been easy for us, as we know many people have come to rely on this product.

Can I still purchase remaining toothpastes? And where?

Yes, you can still purchase the toothpastes in the Burt’s Bees online outlet or at your local Whole Foods Market while supplies last. We expect the supply of our line of toothpastes to dwindle over the next 2-3 months.

Will there be a new line of Toothpastes launched?

At this time, we are not planning on reformulating our line of toothpastes or introducing any new dental care products.

I wanted a natural toothpaste for my son for the obvious reasons and because he tends to swallow some of it. I was more than pleasantly surprised. He thinks it tastes great, and it cleans his teeth better than the aquafresh he was using before. Since he's been using it, about 2 months, his teeth look so much cleaner and whiter- even though this is not even a "whitening" toothpaste. I love it!

Cleans better than ANY toothpaste on the market! July 25, 2010
My friends call me the Queen of Floss because I am very particular about keeping my gums healthy, my breath fresh and my teeth shiny. I am also careful of what chemicals I put in my body. I've got to say that I've purchased other natural toothpastes in the past including Tom's, Jasons and others and aside from appreciating some of the ingredients such as Tea Tree oil and clove oil, none of them have cleaned my teeth as well as Burts Bees Multicare. Yes, they left a pleasant taste from the essential oils, but my teeth did not feel very Clean. This toothpaste will get between the difficult to reach areas between the teeth and into the gums and really CLEAN your teeth and the essential oils in the paste are evident but not over powering. I've used several of Burts Bees products, this is definetly a success and will probably keep you out of the dentists office, all while knowing that you are using TRULY natural products on your teeth. Anyone who complains about the price should consider what their health is worth and consider the expense of using the finest ingredients available. Burts Bees has NEVER skimped on ingredient quality! Their commitment to Quality and Health are obvious in all their products. Thanks BB, this is a Hit in my family!

gentle clean with no aftertaste May 24, 2010
Best thing about this toothpaste is that it doesn't have an aftertaste and I don't feel like it is burning my mouth. My teeth almost had that shiny 'I just got out of the dentist office' feeling. I am not thrilled about the price, but realize that for a quality product like this, it is worth it.

Nice, but really thick! April 15, 2010
This toothpaste seems to work well, but it is really hard to get out of the tube! Seems very thick and it takes a while for it to start softening up in your mouth to start brushing. I wish it was a little more gel-like. Taste is good, and I like that there is no flouride in this formula.
