Tinted Lip Balm
Finally...the PERFECT tinted lip balm!
I've tried almost all of the tinted lip balms out there, and I have to say that this is the best so far. The feel is just right (not too greasy or waxy) and the color is oh so flattering (I have mine in Red Dahlia). So many tinted lip balms are tacky and unnatural in color, but Burt's Bees definitely gets it right. I cannot wait to purchase more!
I have to admit, this is kind of pricey for a lip balm, but I think it's better to buy one pricey lip balm that really does the job, instead of experimenting with a bunch of cheap ones.

PERFECT if you find a color you like; I can help.
LIP CONDITIONING ANALYSIS:
I have been using this for a while and I have to review It. It is the very first and only lip balm to keep my lips soft and smooth and they never peel or dry. Even when reapplying throughout the day, its never because my lips dried. If I stop using it for a week, my lips do start to peel but reuse of this immediately begins to repair the damage. So i just keep it and use it every day. It has become a beauty essential for me, right up there with my eyelash curler and tweezers.
The colors are a bit wonky (mostly on the warm side) so here is a breakdown.
My coloring is pale with yellow undertones (when I want to glam up I use Tarte Smooth Operator as a tinted moisturizer, in shade 02 or "Formerly Facade" if that helps to understand my coloring), and I do better with colors directly in between warm and cold; medium colors.
Honey Suckle: Very Neutral. If you get color to show at all it may be light warm peachy. For me it kind of neutralizes my natural color, which is a dark pink, plays it down. Could pass as a clear balm better than Pink Blossom. But you may find it trying to match your lips to your face like Kim K. does so often.
Pink Blossom: Very pink. Its a light pink and could almost pass for a clear gloss if it were not for the slight bubble gum pink tint. Very cold color.
Hibicus: Since they had the cold and overly bubble gumy Pink Blossom, to compensate, I was hoping this would be a warm, medium pink (like a tad bit darker version of Yes to Carrots' Flirty Pink lip gloss or a cross between YTC Coral Sunshine and Sunset Pink lip tints) like the packaging showed, but it turned out to be warmer than the packaging would have you believe. The packaging makes it look like your natural lip color but better (YTC Flirty Pink for me), but when I put it on it is way too coral (warm, orangey). So I had to shelf this one too.
Rose: This one hit the mark for me. It seems to be the brightest tint in the line, but in a very natural rosy lip kind of way. Its not too warm, not too cold. It takes my natural color and plays up the rosiness, for a healthy soft, slightly moist shiny look of lips just lightly licked. On my dark pink lips it looks like true red tint without a bunch or coral hues mixed in. Just perfect.
This one does not show as dark on your lips as it appears on the package, but all of these are pretty sheer, so that should not be a huge surprise. On my dark pink lips it sort of darkens my lips a bit, just shadows them. Sometimes I use it at night to cast a very sheer plum shadow on my lips that I would not get using Rose. Rose gives my lips that pop of natural color that I crave, but Red Dahlia adds the shadow. In a dark club Red Dahlia may make your lips pop more. I would think using it as a mixer with your perfect shade would give you that evening look with the daytime color you already love. If you have very dark lips, then this would just be a lovely neutral balm for you to keep your lips smooth but not sticky, shiny, but not shimmery, glisteny but not glossy.
Very nice balm, just needs wider color range to fit more people and their coloring :)

I received the Rose shade as part of a Burt's Bees Grab Bag. I wasn't expecting much, however I was pleasantly surprised. This is the best feeling lip balm, and as a bonus the color is just right. I think I might surprise all the women in my life with these lip balms in their stockings.

I have recently hit 30 and decided that I needed to add a bit of color to my non-make up wearing face. Unfortunately, a lot of the lip sticks are too heavy, lip glosses too shiny, and lip balms contain additives and spfs that I am apparently allergic to. A coworker recommended Burt's Bees to me and I decided to give its natural ingredients a go. I am totally in love. The lip tint gives just the right amount of color without being heavy or shiny, and it keeps my lips soft. Plus it is all natural. I currently have it in Pink Blossom and Honeysuckle, and am anxious to try other BB products.
