Very Volumizing Pomegranate Shampoo
So Far, Not So Good
Recently, I've been worried about all the chemicals found in standard shampoos. I've heard that the sulfates and silicones in these shampoos were stripping my hair of its natural oil, which was in turn making it produce even more, which was then making me think I needed to wash my hair every day. I finally grew fed up, and wanted to try a more natural approach for my thick, fine hair. Of course, I turned to Burt's Bees immediately, because I already use their lip balm and facial cleansing products. I was certain my hair would feel like silk and would bounce around without all the extra gunk to weigh it down. It has been about a week, and I'm not sold. My hair feels greasy, heavy, and just overall full of build up. I've also noticed more stray strands than usual. Now, I've also heard that when your hair is deprived of the sulfates it is accustomed to, it takes a second to adjust to being treated nicely(AKA not stripping the oils from it daily). So, I'm going to rough it out for another week, and hope things change for the better. Otherwise, I do not recommend this product unless you have a week or two to deal with greasy, lame hair.

I would Definitely Recommend this Product
A few years back I noticed my hair falling out alot, I discovered that it was from the chemical Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. For years I tried to find a nice shampoo and conditioner that will volumize my hair, make it feel squeaky clean and not have all of those horrible ingredients that most of those shampoos and conditioners have out there. Finally my husband happened upon Burt's Bees Shampoo and Conditioner. He purchased the Volumizer Shampoo and Conditioner and Eureka we fell in love with this item. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. I would caution however that you alternate between a moisturizing shampoo and this volumizing one...as it tends to leave the hair alittle dry, other than that this product is a God send.

keeps the color
My hairdresser told me to use a sulfate-free shampoo for my colored hair, and after trying several brands, I tried yours. That was two years ago, and I haven't considered anything else. Keep up the good work regarding no animal testing. Another selling point!

Dry and Greasy
This product stripped my hair. I didn't use a lot and only twice a week, but it left my hair dull and brittle. I have curly hair that needs to be well-moisturized. I made the mistake of trying this product, which has alcohol in the first couple of ingredients. To overcompensate for the lack of moisture my hair became oily. I had my boyfriend try the shampoo/conditioner and he had similar results even though he doesn't have hair that tends to be on the drier side. Overall the consistency, lathering, and rinsing just didn't seem right.
