Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! A friend let me borrow some of this on a recent weekend camping trip. It was wonderful! This product smells amazing compared to other bug sprays, and works just as well. I found it cools your skin as you apply it, and doesn't leave a thick sticky residue! I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it works i have tried many products on the market. some great for ticks or flee or even mosquitoes. often they burn the skin. And none of them could get rid of the yellow flyes. Yellow flyes can attack non stop and will follow you to bite you non stop!!! They were after my dogs during walks, biting them around the eyes . It was a nightmare. And i did not want to hide inside my house from may to july or august (until they are gone) . When I found your product I thought , "the smell is strong but not bad". And for the first time in years, i finally could walk my dogs in the intercoastal of NC without beeing attack once !!! Yellow flyes are still around , but really don't like the smell of the products because they don't come that close , and don't bite me anymore. They were after my 2 dogs, so I sprayed some in my hand and rub it on their head back and legs . My dogs sneezed a little , but never got bitten again. THANK YOU ! !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product I would not use any other product!! Works way better than other products, and chemical free!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too oily I bought this several years ago to use on a trip to Thailand. I had high hopes for it as it's herbal. I only used it once and have never touched it again. It doesn't spray out nicely. It kind of just streams out and it's too oily for my liking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works & Smells Great. I got this product in an outdoor starter pack a couple of years ago and now I will use nothing else. I live in Idaho and during Sring and Summer the Mosquitoes get really bad, especially when camping or fishing. This product keeps them off the whole family and is safe for my kids. It contains no DEET so I do not have to worry about side effects when I put it on my kids which gives me piece of mind. It smells great as well, unlike traditional bug repellents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You Will Love This When I first used this I was in Corpus Christi, TX . THE MOSQUITOS WERE "HORRIBLE ". I bought this by chance an it has made me a true believer that an all-natural product can WORK VERY EFFECTIVELY and it SMELLS GREAT TOO. You will not be dissapointed !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will always use this product now A friend suggested I use this on my kitties to keep off fleas and ticks. I liked the idea because the product uses natural ingredients and it worked ! I also used it on myself and it kept the mosquitos away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from there's no comparing i bought this for my boyfriend who hates mosquitos more than anything. he had another spray that was deet free for when he waters the lawn & gardens but it smelled terrible & he always had to rinse off right after he came back in. this stuff smells very nice & he's not getting bit or bothered by the bugs while he's out. none of the bad stuff but all of the good. best bug repellant hands down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bug Off! I have used this product twice already and have had not one insect bite! I really like the pleasant, herbal scent and the non-greasy feel of this Herbal Insect Repellant. Because I was reluctant to keep using the big-name brand insect repellants, (which actually didn't work), I tried Burt's Bees and was thrilled with the results. I like buying from such a committed, earth-friendly company, especially when the product works so great! I highly recommend this product to everyone!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from nice try This is a decent smelling product but it does not work for the mosquitos in MN. Took it camping & we were eaten alive. I like Burts bees products so I had really hoped it would work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from it works it works most of the time, like poor side. But if you did the wild outdoor activities, still got mosquitoes bite. Feel like 80% protection only. They should consider to have travel size, I had to purchase another empty bottle to put into my carry on. A bit oily.......just be careful when U apply , esp. wearing light col. clothes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from mosquitos stay away I live near a lagoon and mosquitos are viscious in the summer. I was getting eaten alive and simply avoided going out in the yard in the evening. I wanted an all natural solution and found it with this product. After applying product and hanging outside for a bit I actually saw the pests landing on my arm, hang out for a few seconds and fly off without digging in. Lasts for hours and can say while wearing it i received no bites. Only CON is that it is a fairly greasy/oily.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sort of unhappy product was not like the 99% pure lemongrass repellent I bought last year, but I couldn't find it this year. So I ordered this instead. I will say it narrowed the amount of mosquitoes down... but did nothing compared to the other product with the yellow label.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works very well, but somewhat high maitenance No doubt this product works, totally, smells great, I know because several people commented on it, unsolicited. The only down side is, for me, the application. The repellent comes in a spray bottle but doesn't spray. It streams out instead so be ready for it. I work outside quite often in the film community and have to move FAST. I'd hoped for a quick spray on but this takes some time and you will get your hands oily. When I'm out in the weeds I don't have time to sit down, take off my gloves, apply and wash up. I usually just spray pants and boots and move on. Also, the first time I used it and got my unexpected stream, it went straight on my shirt, the stain didn't come out in the wash until I washed it 3 times and used stain remover. Since then I find myself really watching it when I sit on any type cloth furniture for fear of staining it. If anyone has any tips on removing the stains, or information ie; do I have defective spray cans? ( 3) I'd really like to know. Big Burt's Fan... Larry / Nashville

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much better than traditional insect repellants Every summer, I hate having to put on traditional insect repellants that contain non-natural and bad-smelling chemicals. I know it can't be good to put that stuff on my skin, but what else are you going to do to fight off the mosquitos and black flies? Am thrilled to find this product that is natural/plant-based. I no longer worry about how much or how often I put it on, particularly on my kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mosquito Ridder I attract mosquitoes, and never liked using a product that smelled like pesticides. I first purchased the bug repellant two years ago and only recently had to restock-a little goes a long way. I love the aroma of citronella, so the fragrance suits me. Most important, the product works! And my grand like it! If doing yard work, or any activity that prompts perspiration you will have to reapply. The bugs will stay away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great This is one of the best repellents I've ever used. I searched for it for years after having tried it more than five years ago. I finally just ordered it from the Burt's website. I'm super happy. It smells great, and works great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works After reading the reviews, I applied the repellent into my hands and rubbed it on my arms and legs. Granted, it is oily, but I use it when I'm working in the yard and know I'll have to wash-up anyway before leaving the house. The mosquitos (which are very thick this year) did not bite me. I was able to work outside all day with no bites. To me, it's worth being a little greasy versus covered in DEET.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insect repellant a very good product and I highly recommend it. I spent the weekend at a festival near a small creek and a lake and a lot of standing water. A lot of folks got bit but the repellant worked very well for both me and my wife. I would suggest a smaller size to make it easier to get through airports (less than 3 oz).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Insect repellant I have ever used. My husband and I love Burt's Bees insect repellant. We have been using it for about 3 years and nothing we have ever used works as well and doesn't have a chemical smell. We even use it on our dog to keep flying insects off him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! This is the BEST bug spray I have ever used. I am one of those lucky people that the bugs love to eat, but when I use my burt's bees bug spray I have no bites! I have traveled with this spray many times to places that recommended you only use products with 40% deet, but I feel like this works better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't bug my baby! I was looking for a baby-friendly product and this works amazingly. It is a little oily, since it is not alcohol-based (which is better for her sensitive skin anyway), but that's a little hard to get used to. If I spray it onto my hand to apply, then it works great and doesn't get all over her clothes. If you want a natural, good-smelling bug spray, then look no further.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Insect repellent for eco conscience gardner This works for me...I sprayed it on my ankles...wrists...and around my hairline, also the inside band of my sunhat...I was out in the garden all day...hot, humid and quite buggy, as we live in the country...I was not bothered once...I sprayed it once in a.m. and later in the afternoon as I had a great deal to do...it works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, an insect repllent that works Living at the Jersey shore and going to the beach on a beautiful sunny day or playing a round of golf can be spoiled by greenhead flys or mosquitos. When I came across Burt's Bees Insect Repellent, I gave it a try. To my surprise it not only kept the bugs away, but it smelled good. I promoted this product to all of my friends and family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We -love- this bug spray! If you like the scent of rosemary, clove, cedar, and lemongrass, you'll love the scent of this spray. I do! When I'm using it, most around me comment about how wonderful it smells, as well. For a natural bug spray, DEET free, it's surprisingly effective, much moreso than anything else I've tried (and I've tried several). It didn't quite hold up to a delta rice field 4th of July one time, but the herds of mosquitoes there were even stampeding just as furiously past DEET deep woods sprays (I tried both!). For normal bug spray needs (not delta rice fields), this spray is perfect and well worth it's price. I do live right on the edge of a small wetland area and use it around dusk when the mosquitoes start to descend. It always does the job perfectly well. I also just used it on a light hiking situation through blackberry brambles and miraculously did not make it home with any chiggers or ticks. Well, I had only one tick on myself, but my child who played right on the ground in grass and brush had none, even though ticks are out fresh in full force right now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not In The Everglades Do not use in Florida!!! A Few years ago my wife insisted on using this product instead of our standard 100% deet based protection for a boardwalk excursion into the Florida Everglades at the highpoint of the summer mosquito infestation. I will never forget the noise she made about 150 feet into the walk when the mosquitoes swarmed her - her back and legs were black with mosquitoes which fell off in chunks as I sprayed my 100% deet product on her to save the day. I have yet to test this product in a part of the country less overrun with mosquitoes. In all fairness, the 100% deet product was advertised to last 12 full hours; it only lasted 1 and 1/2 hours before enough mosquitoes had sacrificed themselves to remove splotches of protection so their sisters could feed at will. I wish I could've made a video or taken pics that day but my marriage depended on the speedy delivery of the adamantly requested aid.
