Disappointment May 26, 2012

I was excited to get this shampoo because it has pomegranate in it, which is my favorite. However, after using it, my hair feels thicker in a bad way, and greasy, and as if there is some residue on it. My hair looks and feels dirtier than before I even washed my hair. I was very disappointed because it smells so good! I guess now I will have to switch to a different shampoo.

Not an Improvement May 20, 2012

The original formula was the best. It appears that someone value engineered this shampoo and it's not near the quality. I feel this product leaves your hair dirty. I recommend the old formula still available on this site. Once it's gone, so am I. Somebody ruined a legendary product.

Everyone calm down! May 06, 2012

I used the other shampoo/conditioner for a few months before this new formula came out. I LOVED it, it was great. I was upset at first about the switch, but I kept my faith in Burt's, and gave it a shot. No negative reviews, I told myself, until my hair got used to the change. While I don't think this has the same effect that the last kind had, it's a pretty good shampoo/conditioner set. The shampoo is softer, and it lathers. It doesn't leave a filmy residue that the last kind did (the conditioner used to get rid of that, in their defense.) It has a very sugary smell, for those who are used to the old stuff. I like it, but I don't think the smell lingers as well as it used to. That's the only real downside for me. (OH!, and the bottles are smaller for the same price. But since it lathers with very little, I use less than I used to!) My hair is just as soft as it was with the last set, though it had a period where it was adjusting and got really frizzy. Once my hair got used to this stuff, it was great. I never really used this for volume, I just wanted my curls to be bouncier, and it makes them just as light as they were last time around. What I'm saying is, don't jump to conclusions before really giving this shampoo a shot. I'm not in love with this kind just yet, but I'm willing to make the jump and give up the old kind. I trust that Burt's had good reasons for switching up the formula so much, and I really don't see what the outrage is all about!!!

Why new formula? May 02, 2012

I really am disappointed with the new formula. The old one worked perfectly and left my straight, thin hair full of volume and healthy. This new stuff doesn't work at all. I'm almost in tears because I miss my old shampoo so much! Bring it back!
