Some Problems March 17, 2010
I'm a die-hard Burt's fan, and have really loved 95% of the products I have tried. I was, however, a little disappointed with this lotion. My main problem lies with the fragrance - if you can call it that. This is the first time I've purchased this product, so I can't say whether the formula is the same or different, however I can say that the lotion I purchased has a very unpleasant smell. The best way I can think to describe it is medicinal and acrid. And unfortunately, the smell lingers for a really long time. Other than the smell, the lotion moisturizes very well, although it does leave your hands somewhat greasy, which can limit what you do after you apply it. I give it 4 stars despite the awful smell because it does moisturize well, which is the main function. I would just beg the good people at Burt's to fix the fragrance issue - if this stuff really smelled like lavender and rose as other reviewers have noted, it would be truly wonderful!

The Ingredients HAVE NOT changed. March 03, 2010
Reading these reviews, I was suprised by how many people complained about how the ingredients in this product have changed and how the texture is different, etc. These are completely false! The cream is as thick, and delicious as it was when it first came out, and the smell is just as sweet and pleasant as the first time I used the product. There is NO DIFFERENCE. This is still a wonderful product for dry hands.

Definitely Changed! February 26, 2010
I totally agree with the comment 'itchy' made below. I bought this handcream years ago because I wash my hands a lot and they tend to get dry. I love the fact that it was oily because after one use my hands would be moisturized for practically the entire day. I bought another one two days ago and I noticed right away that it was a lot lighter and I constantly had to reapply it. I don't think i'll be purchasing another one after this runs out unless they switch back to the old ingredients!

works but don't use in public! February 20, 2010
I just bought this and am pleased with the moisturizing results. I live in a dry climate and get cracks in skin around my fingernails. The smell, however, is VERY strong and not a very pleasant fragrance. I'm not sensitive to fragrances but I can't advocate using this in public because everyone within a city block will be able to smell it. Based on other comments, looks like they've recently changed the formula - used to be a lavender fragrance? Maybe they'll change it back!
