Badly Lip Allergic ReactionI purchased a Burt's Bee Medicated lip balm with Menthol & Eucalyptus (batch#AH17012A, Epx Jan19) from a Target store. My lip presents redness, itch, mild swelling and small blisters within hours of using the lip balm. The reaction spread to my face, ears, neck and chest.
It is my first time to try Burt's Bee product, and I am so disappointed with this lip. I think it is 100% NATURAL, but seems like it is NOT.

Mold in centerAfter using this chapstick several times, I noticed the center of the chapstick was a different shade compared to the surrounding portion. It progressively became a dark yellow and so I removed the chapstick from its plastic base and cut it in half. In the middle, there appeared to be a yellow mold with tiny black dots. I was very disappointed since I have used many Burts Bees product in the past, and could not believe I was, essentially, applying mold on my lips. Please look into this! I used scissors to see the center so it smudged, but originally it was found in the middle of the lip balm.

Slightly DisappointedI've used this product before and loved it! But this time after purchase, I opened it up and went to put it on my lips and it had a grainy bumpy texture!

Interesting Lip BalmAt the first sight of the green packaging, I could already tell this was going to be a different kind of "Burt's Bees." The eucalyptus oil gives it the most nasal-clearing aroma along with the addition of the oh-so-delightful menthol. The menthol really helps soothe the pain of those occasional cold sores while the softness of the wax makes it quite easy to apply (even on the driest of lips e.g. Mine). Your lips get a long-lasting tingly zing from the eucalyptus oil that makes it a joy to put on. With all of these preferable ingredients packed into this pocket size invitation to silky smooth lips, it's also very gentle on my lips (my skin is fairly sensitive to begin with) that which makes this chap stick a new favorite to my Burt's collection!
