Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I generally love Burt's Bees products but this one does not top the list. I gave it a couple of chances but with no success. I was continously bitten by mosquitos, the product did not spray but streamed out and was also very oily. However, I love this company because they said they would exchange for another product I could use!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great purchase The lemon smell is wonderful. It is a little oily, be careful when spraying, do not allow children to spray by themselves as the spray is more of a stream, would like to see more of a mist. Price is a little high, however, it did keep bugs away and it is safe to use as opposed to user less expensive non safe chemicals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe for my girls I feel safe putting this prodoct on my children; however, I highly recommend sunscreen when using this product since it has oils in it. Especially or those with fair skin, which includes myself and one of my daughters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Insect Repellent Ever!! Love this product!! It does not have all the chemicals that other repellents have, so you can feel safe using it. It smells like lemon oil, not like mixture of various chemical smells that you get from standard repellent. Works great- - Also I put this on the tables at my wedding reception (outdoors) for guests to use and ended up sending it home with them because they loved it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from works okay I applied product as directed and I still got bitten by 3 mosquitos. The scent was yummy but the honey bees seemed to like it, too! My skin was soft but a bit too greasy. I like the fact that it is all natural, but I wished it worked a bit better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too oily I loved the natural Ingredients in this product, but it was too oily when applied. I was hesitant to use it because I didn't want to stain my clothes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a mixed feeling... Well, there're definitely lots of insect repellent on the market, but I thought about and eventually bought this product simply because it's Burt Bees and its natual ingredients. I got it around early August and planned to use it before every time I play golf. However, as the summer passing soon, I guess I didn't get enough times to use it. I can only say in those limited times I tried it on, it did worked, but was a bit oily for me, the smell is strong, stronger than other repellent I've used before, and of course I think the price is also higher than others. I also don't like how the spray works in this product, which seems too tight to spray, every time it was like a stream hitting the skin instead of spraying over onto it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smells like prefume the smell of this product is so pleasant that i feel like it is some kind of body spray, i also feel really safe to leave it on my skin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good insect repellent I first purchased this product last year. It does work well, I didn't get bit by one mosquito. But it makes your skin super oily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not bad This product was surprising in its effectiveness. We live in a pretty buggy-place and mosquitoes leave us be when we use this spray. The scent is not overwhelming and is actually rather pleasant, which is rare in a bug-repellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps the bugs away! I wanted to use a natural Insect repellent because I wanted to get away from DEET. This stuff actually smells good and it works really well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! I had the opportunity to try this during a hike in the Everglades....Mosquito Capital! I am a mosquito magnet, and this worked great! I did notice that I needed to reapply after about an hour, but a small price to pay for the protection it gave. Smells great, too! I could hear the buzzing all around, but they didn't touch me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So thankful! I am extremely happy that there is a "bug spray" that is so natural. My husband and I fish often and have begun hiking. I get eaten alive by mosquitoes and often even get bit on my face. After spraying other bug sprays, I would never put my hand near my face let alone rub some on. But finally! With all of the ingredients being 100% natural, I do not freak out about putting my hand near my face or rubbing any on my face. You have made me a VERY happy person! Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! No one wants mosquito bites, but who wants to spray on a bunch of chemicals either? Once again, Burts has the solution. This product is ranked as completely safe on a cosmetics safety database, so that is reassuring, but it also works and smells great too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from freedom i am an archaeologist so i am outdoors A LOT! i love this product it has never let me down. i live in CA but i have also used this awesome spray in AZ, Utah and Nevada. It is an oil so you do have to rub it in but since it is an oil it lasts for a really long time and isn't sticky which is important if you are working in the desert and there is a ton of dust blowing around. The smell is nice and fades quickly and is a million times better than a gross chemical smell. It feels good knowing that i am not covered in chemicals all summer long. oh! and i also have very sensitive and this is never irritating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect natural insect repellent I use this camping while everyone else is spraying "other brands" on them constantly. I apply this once and I'm good to go for the rest of the night. the smell isnt bad either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This stuff works Mosquitos love me, but not when I use this product. Yes, it works, but I would like it better if it were not made with an oil base. Sometimes when the buggers try to strike me, they stick to the oil and I end up having dead bugs on my skin and I don't like killing bugs in the process of repelling them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No toxic chemical! I like this because there are no toxic chemicals and it still works to repell insects and I've used this is some tough country-Minnesota-where the state bird is the mosquito!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible I can't believe how effective this product is. I love the spicy scent, but the bugs obviously don't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Small Kids I have small children and worry about all the chemicals in most bug sprays. Trying to find a healthy alternative has proven to be a challange as most "natural" sprays don't seem to work very well. After trying many products, even making my own (LOL), I can honestly say this insect spray has it all! It's as healthy and effective as you're going to find. It works great and gives me a peace of mind. Highly recommend!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works, but... Unfortunately, B.B Insect repellent did not do as well as the chemical DEET, however, I still use it on occasion because I hate putting DEET on my skin. If you're camping or hiking in woods...I would stick to the DEET products, however, for backyard use, I use the B.B product. It is effective in the right environment and it makes me feel good that I'm not applying harmful chemicals to my body.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more itching! I live in Florida, so we get mosquitoes ALL DAY LONG. No matter what time I would go into my garden, I'd come out with dozens of new bites. I swear I haven't been touched by a single one since I've started using this! The smell is fantastic and it's not at all greasy. It tends to go fast, so always keep plenty in stock!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank the Gods This stuff works beautifully! I live in mosquito (West Nile Virus) land, you can hear them come in for a landing, but I love to be outdoors and so do my kids. I prefer to use this product on my family because one it is effective and two so far they haven't said "its safe, its not safe, its safe" unlike that other stuff. I have two young children, they are exposed to enough stuff living on Long Island, I would prefer to not add to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't keep it stocked! From my husband to my 8 month old and all those who borrow after smelling the fabulous scent of mint and lemongrass, I just can't keep enough of the most effective bug repellent I have tried. My mom ships it to me here in mosquito swarming Sicily. It is an oil but rubbed well onto the skin acts as a nice moisturizer. Three cheers to this DEET-free repellent that keeps those tiger mosquitos at bay!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! As deet-free insect repellents go, this is the only one that I have come across that actually kept the bugs away. Unlike the traditional aerosol bug sprays, you don't have to reapply this stuff every hour, and you can rub it on your face without worrying about getting deet in your eyes and mouth. There are a couple of cons: this is more like an oil than a spray, so it needs to be massaged onto the skin, and it doesn't mix well with clothing, either. But from personal experience, I can say that the repellent was effective enough that it didn't matter that my clothes weren't sprayed.
